There was super cheap salmon on offer at the grocery store yesterday. Since the Norwegians can’t take their salmon to Russia anymore, apparently we get them! 2,99€/kg, can’t beat that. We got the biggest one we could find, almost 3kg.
Dead fish alert.
It’s my job to take the fish apart, a job which I find revolting, and it’s not helped by the fact that Jake insists on naming every fish we buy. This one was called Raju-Reijo.
This recipe is super easy, but I thought I’d take pictures anyway.
EASY CREAM SALMON
Heat up the oven to 200°.
Filet your salmon and place it in an oven proof dish. This dish was a bit too small for a fish this size, but it was the biggest one we had.
Sprinkle with salt and a lot of lemon pepper. Put in the oven for 20 minutes.
Take the fish out of the oven and add 4dl of onion flavoured cream. Other flavours might work.
Also, add some butter. Put back in to the oven for another 20 minutes.
We usually eat this with mashed potatoes, but neither of us felt like peeling potatoes. Still, it was good!
