Having a kid really puts an rather abrupt stop to any crafting plans. When she was a baby I could still do a bit here and there, but now that she is walking and very curious about everything, messing with pins and needles is down right dangerous.

But I really love crafting and doing something to do with my hands. My saving grace has been my new standing desk, because the kiddo can't reach. That's the only place where I can drink coffee too now.

I really wanted a sort of accent pillow for our bed, because frankly our bedroom is a bit blah. (I'd also like a rattan headboard, but that's not going to happen anytime soon.) But I could not find a pillow I liked. Well, I found one that I did like, a rya pillow that cost 120€... Yeah. No.

But I came across this rya base fabric for 1€ at the thrift store and thought I might as well try to make one of the scrap yarn I have. I'll try any (craft) once.

Here's what I have so far.

You can see on the bottom how the previous owner had started to make something, which is good because I just copied what she had done! Hah! I really have no idea what I am doing, but it's so much fun to make something!
